After their separation, Mimi Fiedler had to rush into a rented apartment. But now she has to get out of there – and is faced with failed plans and closed doors – in the truest sense of the word.

Mimi Fiedler, 48, doesn’t know what to do next: After her separation from Otto Steiner, 60, she moved into an “AirBnb” apartment on November 11, 2023. “Today I have to get out of this apartment where I dragged everything in like such a savage,” she announced in her Instagram story on January 25, 2024. The move presents the actress with major hurdles that bring her to the brink of despair.

Mimi Fiedler: “I feel like throwing everything away”

“You know, I was planning on going to Paris. […] That didn’t work, I couldn’t find an apartment. So none that cost less than 7,000 euros a month,” Fiedler complains to her followers. Plan B: Paris can wait, a friend has offered Mimi to look after her house in Ibiza for six weeks. “That’s ‘ “It’s a good idea, then I can relax a bit, write a book and then go to Paris,” she explains her thoughts after the offer. The problem: “There are no flights to Ibiza,” Fiedler laughs bitterly into her cell phone.

“Then I thought I would surprise my friend Claudette, whose birthday is today and is celebrating on Saturday,” said Fiedler. From Mallorca she then wanted to take the ferry to Ibiza. Mimi’s cats should have come on board, but: “The airline wrote to me yesterday saying they don’t have any room for the cats.” Suitcases and babies would have been okay, jokes Fiedler, but their four-legged companions would no longer have been okay. And as if all that wasn’t enough, her moving helpers also canceled – and Fiedler herself lost the key to her storage units. “That’s status quo. I have to be out here in two hours, let’s see how this works.”

Fiedler draws positive energy from the relocation disaster

“I feel like throwing everything away too. Everything,” Mimi admits defeat. Nevertheless, she tries to draw a positive conclusion for her personal development even from the greatest chaos. “Even if you have a lot of exams right now and […] “If you don’t know exactly where to go and what’s coming next, then you’re not alone,” the actress addresses her audience directly from the car a few hours later. “I’m just like you,” she assures . And: “I stopped wondering, but I didn’t stop believing in miracles. I refuse to do anything else.” She also wants to recognize “that freedom has its price. And [dass] Maintaining your own dignity also has its price. And I’ll pay that. Very much.”
