Interviewed by 7 Days TV, this Thursday, December 14, Mimie Mathy spoke about the documentary which will be dedicated to her and broadcast on TF1 on December 25after an unpublished episode of Joséphine, guardian angel. The 66-year-old actress admitted to having had fears about revealing herself to viewers, other than in her role in the series she has played since the 1990s, before confide in her past difficulties in her love life.
Happy with her husbandBenoist Gérard, whom she married in 2005, Mimie Mathy never had children in common with him. Indicating not having “had only complicated stories with princes who were not charming, or even already taken” before their meeting, the actress affirmed that everything took shape when she turned 45, “when [elle] had[t] renounced love”. “After two months, we were living together. Already the father of four children, he was not against the idea of us having a baby,” she confided, specifying that because of her already advanced age and her “morphology”, “it was not easy to consider pregnancy”. “We gave it up without it being a frustration for me”, assured Mimie Mathy, who has no regrets regarding this missed baby together. “I took advantage of the happiness of life as a couple and I became the step-mother of her children, who made me a fulfilled grandmother of eight grandchildren,” summed up the actress with tenderness. And to add, with mischief: “And it’s probably not over yet!”

A pregnancy that would have endangered her health
Last December 4, during his invitation on the show As an aside, broadcast on Canal+, Benoist Gérard’s wife admitted that she “could have” trying to have a baby “alone, at the time when [elle] didn’t have[t] not very solid stories”ending up saying to himself that she did not want to take the risk of passing on her achondroplasia to her little one. “It was imposing something hard on him. For me, it was chance that I was like that. By being pregnant, I had a chance that my baby would be like me too. And he could have blamed me for it,” she indicated, emphasizing that she would also have put “[s]“health in danger”.
