The film Minecraft, which we haven’t heard from for a long time, especially following its indefinite postponement on the Warner Bros. calendar, has finally come to fruition a little more. The Hollywood Reporter tells us that the film has just landed its first role, which will be none other than the famous Jason Momoa.

The site reports that Jason Momoa (the current Aquaman and Khal Drogo in Game Of Thronesbut also the unforgettable Ronon Dex of Stargate Atlantis) is currently in final negotiations with Warner Bros to star in the adaptation of Minecraft At the movie theaterwhich will ultimately be directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite).
The project had previously been assigned to Shawn Levy (A Night at the Museum) then to Rob McElhenney (It’s always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Peter Sollett (Long Way Home), but had since been put aside by the studio, which obviously did not know what to do with it.
It is not yet known what role Jason Momoa will have in this adaptation. Maybe Steve, go figure. Now that it has found its headliner and a big name to put forward, the film should start production soon.
