the Minecraft Live took place this Saturday, October 15, 2022 in order to present to us the great novelties to come on the main Minecraft game and its spin-offs. Here’s everything you need to remember.
Everything about Minecraft 1.20
Most of the conference was of course focused on the next update of Minecraft: 1.20. The developers mainly talked about 4 big new features that will be added to the game:
- The camels : This large mount has room for you and a friend. Camels are found in desert villages.
- The hanging panels : to improve the decoration of your houses and farms,
- The chiseled bookcases : Allows you to store and retrieve Books, Written Books, Enchanted Books, and Quills. Integrate redstone to make it the smartest library ever!
- The craftsmanship in bamboo : you can use it to craft a new type of boat, the raft, but also other new furniture!
For the moment, the final name of the update is not known nor even the complete roadmap which is still very mysterious: the Mojang studios prefer unveil this little by little until the launch. However, and for the first time, the community will be able to access the beta (Java Edition then Bedrock) immediately after the presentation to test the announced features!
- To finish, 7 new skins by default will be added: Makena, Efe, Noor, Kai, Ari, Sunny and Zuri will join Alex and Steve in the Minecraft launcher and dressing room in late November/early December.
- New DLCs will be coming to the Minecraft Marketplace, including the Batman-DLC offered by DC and Noxcrew, and the Frozen Planet II DLC, on October 18.

- Sniffer (winner) : This ancient creature was once part of the Overworld’s ecosystem, now you can bring back the sniffer if you can find its egg! Hatch new monsters, breed them and find a way to make the sniffer prosper. There are seeds that only the sniffer can find!
- Rascal : A mischievous mob who loves to play hide and seek! The rogue hides in the underground mines, waiting to be found. If you spot the same rogue three times, they’ll reward you with a prize, so keep your eyes peeled!
- Tuff Golem: A statue with a particularity: it comes to life! When the Tuff Golem wakes up, it walks around, picking up and holding any object it encounters. Don’t worry, it will return to where you placed it when it becomes a statue again. It may be a work of art, but you are the creator.
Release period and gameplay for Minecraft Legends
We were treated to a little more gameplay for the ambitious Minecraft Legends and a launch window: the spring 2023 ! In addition to the new cutscene, a live demo allowed us to see what 4-player co-op play was like and meet the first talking mobs in Minecraft history: the three hosts, Knowledge, Action, and Foresight.
Minecraft Dungeons
After a recap of everything that has been added to the game in two and a half years, the Minecraft Dungeons team has revealed the seasonal content forHalloween which will be released from October 26 to November 9. You can then grab the Hungriest Horror armor set and the free Cloaked armor set via the Minecraft Marketplace, as well as the Minecraft Dungeons Heroes skin pack, the first crossover skin pack between these two worlds.
The new Tower multiplayer mode was also shown as well as a preview of the Season 3 : Fauna Faire, which will be released on October 19, and which will include a whole host of new flairs, pets, skins, emotes and free content for the game.
