Minecraft: QuestCraft is available on Meta Quest headsets

While Minecraft sales have been going strong for several years now, here comes the independent team of developers known as QuestCraft has just made available to fans of the cubic title an unofficial and above all free version of the game on the Meta Quest and Meta Quest 2 VR headsetsalso known as Oculus Quest.

QuestCraft is available for free on Meta Quest and Meta Quest 2

As we have just announced to you, this is not an official version of the game, nor is it the first time that a VR edition of the title has appeared on these devices.

As a reminder, Minecraft is already available in VR via PlayStation’s PS VR, but also via the PC VR Vivecraft mod.

Nevertheless, QuestCraft is interesting since it is a standalone VR version of Minecraft Java Edition and does not require the possession of an expensive computer. However, to be able to take advantage of it, players must still have the basic game (around twenty euros) with, of course, a Mojang account (or Microsoft since the migration).

According to the team of QuestCraftthis VR version was developed using PojavLauncher and of MCXR and thanks to this, therefore, players can use modding tools in this special version.

If you have a Meta Quest or Meta Quest 2 headset and want to play QuestCraft, we advise you to carefully watch the video explaining the steps to follow for its installation.

Besides, QuestCraft runs under version 1.18 of Minecraft, which means you can get access to the Caves & Cliffs update. However, the team has not indicated whether it plans to add the Wild Update in the future which, according to Mojang Studios, will be available this summer.

While the end of 2021 was marked by the arrival of the Caves & Cliffs update in Minecraft, Mojang Studios has already provided an update on the next major update which will arrive in the summer of 2022 .
