Cooper Bikes, the two-wheeled mobility company created by the descendants of the founder of automaker Cooper, has announced four new electric bikes adapted to the city.
These four models, sober and all-purpose, will be released soon, even if the precise date has not yet been revealed.
Regenerative bikes
The CS-IE, CR-7E, CL-7E and CG-7E models have the same features. Their motor and 173 Wh battery are placed at the rear of the bike, at wheel level, and each is equipped with the KERS system (Kinetic Energy Recovery System). This saves a little autonomy, because it allows the battery to be recharged while pedaling or on a descent.
If we do not yet know what their total autonomy will be, these models benefit from a system, easy to activate, of recharging the battery in order to gain approximately 5% of autonomy. Whether it’s the single-speed model (the CS-IE) or the men’s (CG-7E) and women’s (CL-7E) models, Cooper’s e-bikes will be able to travel up to 25 km/h on the roads of the cities. They will still pass for normal bikes thanks to classic frames that are not overloaded with the motor and the battery.
On the other hand, your wallet may suffer if you decide to acquire one of these bikes. Their prices start from 2,399 euros for the CL-7E and go up to 2,799 euros for the Randonneur CR-7E model.
