As you probably know, the small Mini Cooper SE was marketed in 2020 and, like many electric models, this one saw its sales increase considerably in 2022 (by 25.5% according to the BMW group). Enough to allow the small electric city car to claim more than 43,000 units sold worldwide in 2022 (including just under 6,000 in France).
While today, according to the manufacturer, one in five Minis is electric, BMW recently announced the production of the millionth fourth-generation 3-door Mini, which was none other than… a 100% electric Mini Cooper SE.
Today, the group lifts the veil on the new generation of Mini Electric, which promises handling, stability and agility, like a real little electric kart.
A new version that takes you further (than night and day)
New versions that will make the (electric) power speak, with 135 kW (183 hp) to animate the Mini Cooper E, the and no less than 160 kW (217 hp) on board the Mini Cooper SE.

BMW specifies that while the battery capacity of the MINI Cooper E is 40.7 kWh, that of the MINI Cooper SE peaks at 54.2 kWh. Enough to allow these new models to claim ranges (theoretical) of 300 to 400 kilometers. Recall that the autonomy of the current Mini SE of just over 230 km.
This new generation of Mini Electric will be unveiled to the public in September 2023, during the Munich Motor Show. Finally, remember that from 2030, Mini plans to become a 100% electric car brand.
