Minions 2 take on kung fu in new trailer


The new trailer for the film from Illumination studios, The Minions 2: Once Upon a Time, Gru has just been unveiled. The film will be released in our theaters on July 6, 2022.

The Minions are back in a crazy new adventure!

Once Upon a Time Gru picks up where the previous film, The Minions, which grossed $1.16 billion worldwide, left off. In this sequel set in the 70s, the little yellow beings rally around Gru as the young villain plots to join a group of supervillains known as the Vicious 6. But nothing goes as planned and Gru suddenly becomes their sworn enemy.

Forced to flee, the young villain will need his best friends. Kevin, Stuart, Bob and Otto will then do everything to try to help their mini-boss. Including learning kung fu as revealed in this new trailer full of action and gags.

The Despicable Me spin-off is directed by Kyle Balda, Brad Ableson and Jonathan Del Val. On the voice casting side, Gad Elmaleh resumes his role of Gru in the French version.

In the original version, Steve Carell is surrounded by the stars of 80s action films: Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Danny Trejo and Lucy Lawless. Taraji P. Henson, Michelle Yeoh and RZA are also assisting in the voice acting.

Postponed many times due to the pandemic, Minions 2: Once Upon a Time Gru will be released in theaters on July 6, 2022 and will have its world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on Monday. June 13.
