Heil promotes Germany with “closing time”.

How attractive is Germany for foreign skilled workers? In India, Federal Labor Minister Heil is trying to emphasize the advantages of the German labor market. However, this no longer works with Indian specialists via the salary.
Minister of Labor Hubertus Heil promotes regulated working hours in India for Germany as a business location. “In Germany there is now a tendency towards two extremes on the subject,” said the SPD politician in the capital, New Delhi. “One extreme is the arrogance of believing that all the bright minds and helping hands want to come to Germany. That’s not true. The other extreme is that some act as if nobody wants to come to Germany anymore.”
Heil emphasized that IT specialists in India’s Silicon Valley Bengaluru (formerly: Bangalore) probably earn a similar amount these days as in Munich, but that there is “no closing time”. The Minister of Labor wants to find out more about the skilled labor potential in India, as his house announced. Heil is visiting India, the most populous country in the world with around 1.4 billion inhabitants, because of the migration of skilled workers and the G20 summit of labor ministers in Indore in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Germany’s Ambassador Philipp Ackermann also commented on the subject. According to him, the possibility of family reunification makes Germany an attractive migration destination. In the Gulf States, where many Indians also work, they would not have this opportunity. However, Germany has a competitive disadvantage with the German language compared to English-speaking countries such as the USA and Canada, since many Indian specialists speak English well.
