It’s not green, it’s not blue, because it’s mint! This beautiful pastel shade is currently dominating the beauty world. No matter whether on nails, as hair color or in eye make-up: you have to try this color trend!

From Melanie Wenzke

So delicate and yet so expressive – mint is straight theTrend color in the beauty world. Although mint blooms rather grass green in nature, the popular shade is a pastel color with shades of blue. In the cold months in particular, when we rarely see the sun, we should focus more on mint. Because it flatters our complexion and makes us look wonderfully fresh. And the color looks so beautiful when worn:

All over mint

As a hair color, it really stands out! Mint is an exciting change, especially with blonde hair. If you don’t want to commit yourself straight away, you can use a washable color. This is sprayed onto towel-dried hair and distributed evenly by combing it afterwards. The result lasts until the next hair wash and is definitely worth a try! You can do this with the Rondo Pastel Color Spray, for example, for 12 euros.

We are also enthusiastic about the color in the inner corner of the eye. If you keep the rest of the eye make-up more neutral and in cool brown tones, the mint comes out even better. The eye is opened and the gaze is immediately more alert. Make sure to apply the eyeshadow at the beginning of your eyelid, in the inner corner of the eye and also at the beginning of the lower lash line. This is the only way to achieve the desired wow effect!

If that’s too intense for you, dab a light shimmer eye shadow over it at the end. This makes the look more subtle, but still remains interesting and cool thanks to the mint reflections. At the moment there is even a whole mint collection from Elf Cosmetics! The pastel obsession palette from Huda Beauty (around 25 euros) is also intensely pigmented. You will surely succeed in the trend look!

It looks best when the colors are repeated. So use the trend color for several details and combine, for example, eye shadow and nail polish! You can also use them in accessories.

And you really don’t have to be a professional for this eye make-up! It is best to prepare your lid with concealer, which you then fix with sufficient powder and a fluffy brush. Put your ring finger gently into the eyeshadow and carefully dab it all over your eyelid. Concentrate really only on the movable lid and do not go any higher! Now the fluffy blending brush is used again: without picking up new product, you glare over the edges in windshield wiper movements. Take your time doing this, so you will get a nice transition. Repeat this process for more intensity. Finally, you can now apply a lighter shade to the inner corner of your eye – your trend look is ready!
