The place is chosen… and may surprise! The Miss France company has just revealed, this Tuesday, May 24, the place where the ceremony for the Miss France 2023 election will be held. Next mid-December, the various regional Misses will meet in… Châteauroux in order to ensure the spectacle and to see one of them being sacred from the hands of Diane Leyre, who will be present to reassure and hand over the crown to her successor. The evening will be broadcast from the Mach 36 room. This one – which can bring together up to 3,500 people seated – has already hosted this very special event. On December 16, 2017, it is indeed there that Maëva Coucke was elected Miss France 2018. “We are delighted to be welcomed by the city of Châteauroux for the election of Miss France 2023. Five years ago, the city allowed us to experience a highlight with the crowning of Maeva Coucke, Miss France 2018“, rejoiced the general manager of the company Miss France, Sylvie Tellier in a press release.
But this place can surprise. Tradition has it that the ceremony takes place in the region of the Miss elected the following year. It should therefore have been tarnished in Île-de-France, Diane Leyre being Parisian. The lovely 24-year-old woman was herself crowned on December 11, 2021 in Caen, where her predecessor, Amandine Petit, was from. Contacted by TeleStar.frthe Miss France society assures us that there is no particular reason for this decision. “It happens regularly but it is not necessarily in the region of the Miss in title that we make the election“, we are reminded. This is particularly the case for Misses from Overseas. For reasons of time difference and logistics, the ceremony never took place in the DOM TOM but still in metropolitan France. It is for this reason that Maëva Coucke had been crowned at Châteauroux. She then succeeded Alicia Aylies, who before being Miss France 2017 was Miss Guyana. Nevertheless, she had been elected in Montpellier, when she succeeded Iris Mittenaere, who came from Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
Where will the preparatory trip to Miss France 2023 take place
Before this long-awaited 2023 ceremony, the young women will fly to Guadeloupe for their preparatory trip. A decisive stay. Since during these few days, the contenders for the title will be closely scrutinized during their learning. Eloquence course, catwalk, general culture test, oral presentation, behavior,… Everything will be taken into account by Sylvie Tellier and the preselection jury that will surround her. They are the ones who will choose the 15 Misses who will be voted on by the viewers and who will therefore have a chance to touch their dream with their finger.
