A ceremony filled with emotions… Every year, thousands of young women want to represent Saint-Martin Saint-Barthélémy in the Miss France election. On Friday July 29, 2022, more than nine of them were in competition and did everything to stand out in the eyes of the jury. At the end of this exceptional evening, it was Inès Tessier who won the competition and thus succeeded Naïma Dessout! The young 19-year-old student is 1m70 tall. In her presentation video, shared by the Miss Saint-Martin Saint-Barthélémy Instagram account, the young woman said: “I am passionate about art and that’s why I went to a cinematographic course at the University of Montreal, in Canada. I am sporty, creative and sunny. I like to make people around me laugh and thus create social ties. I have my head on my shoulders.“
For the media Tototheclock, Inès Tessier said she was passionate about dance, which she practiced for thirteen years, surfing and running. Referring to what motivated him to register for the election, she revealed: “I tried my luck (…) following a proposal. I thought about it a lot and then I said to myself why not. This commitment allows me to tell myself that anything is possible and that you have to meet challenges to surpass yourself. I believe that life is much more pleasant when we seize the opportunities it offers us.“According to her, the young woman would be a determined person who goes to the end of things, but would be a sensitive person. Close to her parents and her brother, Inès Tessier slipped: “They have always been there to support me through my challenges and obstacles. I am lucky to have a small family that supports me!“

During this interview, Miss Saint-Martin Saint-Barthélémy 2022 declared that the cause close to her heart was ecology. “In the West Indies, we are very impacted both through the climate and natural disasters. It is very important to preserve our home in order to protect it.“Having answered these questions before being elected, the young woman added:”If I am elected, I will use this position to defend the freedom of women, because indeed, the defense of rights is not the preserve of lawyers. I would also like by my place to help my two islands both on the cultural and social relationshipbut also on the economy of the islands and their development.“
