"Miss France": How much does the credits of the show earn for Richard Sanderson each year? : Current Woman The MAG

If Richard Sanderson is best known for having written Reality, became a hit thanks to the film The party of which he became the soundtrack, there are many other titles that appear in his discography. Indeed, after the immense success of this music, released in the early 1980s, the artist experienced moments of depression, notably episodes of depression. He thus chose to specialize in television music to get up and start composing again. It was therefore during this period that he wrote several music for television, in particular those of the historical series of Daniel Costelle, but also a credits heard every year by almost all French people: that of the show Miss France election, which has been disrupted this year. At the time, there were no mythical credits for the show, as it was changed regularly: "It was in the years 95, 96 … Or 97, over there! Initially, before going to TF1, it was on France 3, presented by Julien Lepers", says Richard Sanderson on February 28 on Non Stop People. "We changed the credits every year", he specifies … until it offers the right music!

Four-figure copyright for Richard Sanderson

And it was indeed in 1997 that GĂ©rard Louvin, of the production company Glem (which was in charge of the show that year), suggested that he create a single credits, which will be kept every year. "I suggested two, they chose this one. And since then it has remained the credits", explains the composer. Thus, if the company Endemol took over the show in 2002, this music has all the same been kept. Since then, we hear it not only every year on TF1, but also on many other occasions: "Often when Miss France arrives on a show, we put that as music", he recalls. These numerous broadcasts of music inevitably bring royalties to the composer. Thus, Richard Sanderson admits the sums he receives each year, not as large as one might think:"It's not huge because it's short. And Miss France, it only happens once a year", he recalled."Maybe 4,000 or 5,000 euros per year. It depends, there are years when they will spend it more than others", he reveals. But let's not forget that the release of the film Miss, by Ruben Alves, in which the credits air, may earn more copyright this year.
