HASn the kingdom of Misses, a brunette replaces the blonde… On December 17, the day of the election of the new beauty queen, another dubbing will take place in the spotlight: the Norman Cindy Fabre will very officially take the place of the Lyonnaise Sylvie Tellier as director of Miss France. A small revolution in the hushed universe of the contest, long held with an iron fist by Mme de Fontenay, before she was replaced some fifteen years ago by Sylvie. The latter now wishes to breathe new life into her career, after having closely mothered the winners.

Different style, but also character at the antipodes: as much the energetic Sylvie Tellier was said to have a strong personality, as much Cindy Fabre has the reputation of a placid and discreet young woman. A little too smooth, some will say… Something to reassure producer Alexia Laroche-Joubert, who became CEO of the company last year – a takeover that was badly experienced by Sylvie Tellier, who would have felt sidelined. Especially since the two women with strong characters did not always agree on the evolution to be given to the competition: Sylvie Tellier thus opposed the candidacy of women mothers, finding the agenda of a year incompatible. reign with raising a child. Sweet Cindy Fabre shouldn’t overshadow the powerful CEO…

Born to a mother from Guadeloupe and a Burgundian father, she spent her childhood in Nièvre, in Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire, before moving to Normandy with her parents. While she was studying marketing, her destiny changed in December 2004, when she was elected Miss France wearing the colors of Normandy. After trying her hand at modeling, Cindy Fabre made a few appearances on television, on the thematic channel Cash TV, then on shows like Apartment search for M6 or the special Miss France edition of shopping queens in 2021.

Too transparent

But she mainly earns her living in events by integrating the company Ema Events, an agency located in Burgundy and the Paris region, as well as Talent Lab, a company specializing in celebrity marketing. On the private side, she is the mother of a boy, Elio, 10 years old, but she is separated from the latter’s father. According to the tabloids, his heart would already be taken by another… No way to pour out on social networks, it’s not really his style. On her Instagram account, we mainly find portraits of her and photos of her travels, one of her passions. Too transparent? This is the criticism that some make him.

Starting with Sylvie Tellier, who would have preferred a better-known personality to succeed her, but it was Alexia Laroche-Joubert, producer of Miss France, who had the last word. Sylvie Tellier wanted a more media-friendly Miss; Alexia Laroche-Joubert wanted a Miss who has a fairly solid professional experience, Cindy Fabre recently explained in the newspaper Provence. Distance and the fact that you are no longer in the spotlight does not mean that a woman is not professionally accomplished. She also knows the mechanics of the Miss contest well, having continued to work with Endemol, via the event company that hires her.

It has been more than three months since Cindy began to take up her duties alongside Alexia Laroche-Joubert while waiting to have complete free rein, when Sylvie Tellier will be definitively gone, after the ceremony on December 17. “Cindy, it’s not the same style as Sylvie Tellier, confirms Geneviève de Fontenay, 90 years old. I was also very surprised to see that the production went to choose one of my former Misses rather than picking from those elected when Sylvie was in office… I only have good memories of her, she’s a kind, sympathetic, loyal woman. Besides, she calls me from time to time. It’s a good choice. “Here at least Cindy is sure not to receive banderillas from the” lady in the hat “…
