On March 9, 2024, 112 candidates paraded on the stage of the Jio World Convention Center in Bombay (India) to try to win the precious Miss World crown. Among them, Clémence Botino (Miss France 2020) dazzled the public with a dress paying homage to Versailles. In red, she defended the colors of France in a national costume in homage to Marie-Antoinette, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Palace of Versailles. After a ceremony punctuated by Bollywood dances and dresses, each more original and grandiose than the last, it was ultimately Krystyna Pyszková, Miss Czech Republic, who won the precious crown. She succeeds the Polish Karolina Bielawska.
Ranked in the Top 40 of Miss World 2023, Clémence Botino shared beautiful messages on Instagram. Very happy to have participated in this adventure, she wrote: “Hello! Top 40 for France! Thank you for your support. For my part, I have absolutely no regrets, I gave absolutely EVERYTHING. I don’t think I had ever prepared so much for a competition. I was sincere, authentic. I always listened to my heart. It is with great pride that I was able to represent my country. After 5 years of traveling the regions, the countries, it is time for me to retire. Congratulations to our new Miss World Krystyna @krystyna_pyszko”.
A great meeting for Clémence Botino
Just after the ceremony, she also confided having experienced incredible moments which will remain engraved in her memory. No crown for Clémence Botino but a beautiful friendship established with the candidate who defended the colors of Belgium as she indicated in her Instagram story (to discover in our slideshow.) Clémence became friends with Kedist Deltour: “The most beautiful thing that this adventure could offer me, this budding friendship with my Belgium @kedist_deltour” she confided in the caption of a photo with the beautiful mixed race. And to finish in style, Clémence Botino revealed a selfie with Miss World, the pretty Krystyna Pyszková. The circle has come full circle for Miss France!
