“They were horrible days, sleepless nights. I didn’t want to believe the whole thing. It was like living a nightmare that you could never have put together, and somehow it was the reality,” said the 20-year-old from Salzburg in her home town of Maria Alm. she was just laying around for a week and a half. “I was really a bit in a hole. The feeling is horrible because you get up every day with the ulterior motive of performing there (in Beijing, note) and suddenly it’s gone. ”The reference to her youth and many more possible active years was little consolation for her. “Of course there are still several Olympic Games, but they are only every four years. Four years is a long time and you can see that things always happen that you don’t have on screen.”
