Missile attacks on northern Israel

JERUSALEM, June 14 (Reuters) – Dozens of missiles fired from southern Lebanon fell on northern Israel on Friday, where emergency services reported several fires, particularly around the border town of Kiryat Shmona.

Alarm sirens sounded in northern Israel, according to the army, and rescue teams deployed to the targeted area where they reported material damage, but no casualties.

Lebanese Hezbollah launched a coordinated rocket and drone attack on Thursday against nine Israeli military sites, in retaliation for the death of one of its commanders, killed Tuesday in an IDF strike.
