Missing for hours – hunting terrier “Roml” tracked down by drone use

“Roml”, a dog in Gratwein-Straßengel, had not appeared for several hours. The search had a happy ending just in time before dawn on Saturday. The fire brigade used a drone live stream for the first time.

The last time the owner saw his two-year-old hunting terrier “Roml” was in St. Pankrazen-Gschnaidt in Gratwein-Straßengel on Saturday morning, since then he had been swallowed up by the face of the earth. In the afternoon he picked up the phone and asked the fire brigade to search for the dog with a drone. Drone tracked down JagdterrierAs luck would have it, the Stiwoll fire brigade held a drone exercise in the morning, which then turned into an operation in the afternoon. With a self-made live stream, the Jagdterrier’s search could be followed on the screen at the same time – and also tested for the first time with a positive result: “Roml” was found unharmed before nightfall! The relief and joy of both the animal and the Master was huge!
