Mission: Impossible 7: Nicholas Hoult is not allowed to compete against Tom Cruise

The corona crisis not only has a massive impact on film production itself, but also on its cast. According to a report by the US industry website "Deadline", actor Nicholas Hoult (30) now has to experience this for himself. He should have put Tom Cruise (57, "Knight and Day") in the upcoming action blockbuster "Mission: Impossible 7" as an adversary before an impossible mission. But now apparently nothing will come of it.

The reason: Due to the delay in the shooting schedule due to the corona pandemic, production now overlaps with another Hoult project. Rogue replacements have already been found for the film "Mission: Impossible 7", which should actually be made in March. Accordingly, instead of Hoult, Esai Morales (57, "La Bamba") will fight with Ethan Hunt and Co.

Film studio Paramount Pictures had specified 22 July 2021 as the theatrical release as the original date for Germany. However, because this became a "Mission: Impossible" itself, November 18, 2021 is now the target start date.
