Mission Impossible 7: Rome is to be rebuilt in England

The makers of "Mission Impossible 7" already stopped filming in Venice at the end of February. Now the newspaper "The Sun" reports that the team around the leading actor Tom Cruise (57) will not return to Italy at all. They are currently planning to build a huge set in the UK and re-enact the scenes there. Among other things, they want to recreate the famous Spanish Steps with 136 steps.

The recordings in Venice were originally intended for the opening sequence; after the filming there, further work in the capital Rome should have followed. The entire team, including Cruise, are currently on standby and awaiting further instructions. This is one of the reasons why it is not easy to wait for developments in Italy and to make decisions.
