Mission Impossible 7: Tom Cruise takes a stand in the duel “Barbie” vs. “Oppenheimer”!

• Tom Cruise is currently promoting his new film “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning – Part 1”.
• But two other films are also the focus of interest, namely “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer”.
• Now we finally know which of the two films Tom Cruise prefers to see.

In the “Mission: Impossible” films, Tom Cruise has repeatedly proven that no mission is too difficult for him. But now Cruise faced another, almost impossible challenge. The cinema summer of 2023 will be overshadowed by the big duel between “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer”. The fact that the two films are as different as night and day is what makes this social media head-to-head race so amusing.

Although “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning – Part 1” starts only a week earlier and is therefore also a strong competitor, nobody doubts the success of the latest “Mission: Impossible” film, even if the film is almost all IMAX screens must do without.

To show that there is no room for competition in the film industry – a claim that is highly implausible – Tom Cruise and ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ director Christopher McQuarrie sat down with movie tickets in front of posters for ‘Oppenheimer’, ‘Barbie’ and ‘Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny”, Margot Robbie and “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig did the same.

Tom Cruise has now revealed to the Sydney Morning Herald that he really plans to watch both ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer’. But Cruise also revealed which film he will watch first, so the duel “Barbie vs. Oppenheimer” is already decided, at least for Cruise!

A first victory for “Oppenheimer”!

I will see them on the opening weekend. On Friday I see “Oppenheimer” first and then “Barbie” on Saturday.
