A large fire brigade has been running since shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon: There is a fire at the Zuser waste disposal company in Peggau. 270 firefighters will probably be on duty until late at night.
According to the state police headquarters, 15 fire brigades are currently in action at the Zuser company. First a mountain of rubbish started to burn, now 400 square meters of storage space for PVC material is on fire. A member of the company fire brigade sprained his ankle and was slightly injured.
The smoke was sometimes strong, but the S 35 did not have to be closed. According to the fire brigade, the extinguishing work will continue into the night.
