Mitsubishi is preparing a hybrid version of its small Colt

The Mitsubishi brand will launch a new version of its Colt city car next year.

The teaser suggests a model largely inspired by another well-known small city car, French this time, which has “all of a great”.

Mitsubishi Colt / Renault Clio: same fight?

In 2023, the Mitsubishi brand will launch a new generation of its Colt city car in Europe, the first version of which dates back to the early 1960s. The Japanese manufacturer will obviously be able to rely on an ally of choice: Renault.

Thus this seventh generation of Mitsubishi Colt will sign the great return of the mark in Europe, ten years after the stop of the previous generation. A new car which should largely be inspired by an emblematic model from Renault, the Clio.

Indeed, Mitsubishi’s presentation left no doubt as to the relationship between the two models, both developed from the CMF-B platform. Presumably, the new Mitsubishi Colt should yield to the call of the hybrid engine, and will be produced in Turkey.
