MIUI 13 has now been officially presented by the Chinese company Xiaomi. The big innovations are hidden under the hood. The user interface is said to offer faster memory, higher efficiency of background processes and longer battery life.
As the manufacturer announced in a press release, the “Liquid Storage” function should keep your cell phone as fast as it was on the first day after purchase. The feature reduces memory fragmentation and is intended to increase read and write speeds by 60 percent.

Furthermore, the efficiency of the main memory is increased with “Atomized Memory”. The function analyzes how the memory is used by applications and divides an app’s processes into important and unimportant tasks. The latter are then closed again so that more programs can be used without sacrificing performance.
With “Focused Algorithms” system resources are dynamically allocated to active applications. So the processor should get enough power reserves.
smart balance
According to Xiaomi, “Smart Balance” automatically balances performance and battery consumption. The battery life should be extended by up to 10 percent.
You also get a “sidebar”, which allows you to access your favorite apps at any time. It doesn’t matter whether you’re currently in an application or not. The sidebar window is freely movable.

With MIUI 13, some of the models mentioned will also receive an update to Android 12. For others, however, the user interface will continue to be based on Android 11. Xiaomi has not yet given any details on this.
Simultaneously with MIUI 13, Xiaomi also unveiled the Smart Air Purifier Series 4 as well as the Redmi Note 11 series.
