Moana on M6: have you spotted Olaf from La Reine des Neiges? It is very well hidden!

“Vaiana”, broadcast this Friday evening on M6, is full of references to other Disney animated films, in particular “The Snow Queen” and “Aladdin”. Have you spotted them?

Broadcast this Friday evening on M6, the Disney animated film Vaiana, the legend of the end of the world tells the story of a reckless young girl embarking on a daring journey to fulfill the unfinished quest of her ancestors and save her Polynesian people. . During her crossing of the vast ocean, Moana will meet Maui, a demi-god.

Released in theaters in 2016, this adventure full of action, encounters and trials is full of winks and references to other Disney films. The Frozen, for example, when the shape-shifting demigod Maui tries to transform and that appears… the reindeer Sven!

Sven isn’t the only Frozen character to slip into Moana. Little Olaf is also there, but well hidden: the temperature having risen several notches, the snowman is no more than a carrot and a piece of wood visible in the heroine’s basket (photo below). Finally, we can even see the marshmallow monster on a tapestry of the film!

Another Disney classic that Moana refers to is Aladdin. And it is rather normal since we find at the controls of the two films the directors John Musker and Ron Clements.

Thus, the carpet that the villagers dusted off in Moana is none other than the famous flying carpet of the 1993 film (photo below), while the famous lamp is found in the treasure massaged by Tamatoa. Not to mention that the Maui statue’s broken nose is reminiscent of the same giant Sphinx nose breaking during Aladdin and Jasmine’s Blue Dream.

There are also in Vaiana winks to The Little Mermaid, a film also signed by the duo Musker / Clements. We find in particular in the hair of the young heroine the same flower as that of the red-haired princess. And we can see the Flounder character during the song For men from Maui (pictured below).
