With the mobile game Cytus II you immerse yourself in a world full of rhythms, beats and anime characters. The game follows the principle of games like Guitar-Hero or Rockband – so you have to tap certain buttons on the mobile phone display to the beat of a song. However, don’t expect any pop songs and evergreens here.
Instead, Cytus II has an electro-beat-heavy Japanese soundtrack, which was written with a lot of effort for the song. In general, the game is rich in detail and shines with drawn graphics in the anime style. It’s best to try it out right away, but the download is a proud 2.81 gigabytes in size. So it’s best to download it over a WiFi network.
Is it worth downloading Cytus II?
First of all, we have to briefly talk about the platforms: The mobile game Cytus II has been reduced from 1.99 euros to 0 euros in the Google Play Store for the next five days. No additional in-app purchases are listed here. The game is also free on iOS, but Apple lists several game elements that can be bought there. So be a little careful on iOS that you don’t suddenly get asked for your credit card.

The game introduces you to a rather complex story for a music game and then moves on to the first songs. These are still quite simple, but on YouTube you can find the typical, inhumanly fast game professionals who then also show the more demanding songs. Personally, the soundtrack is too techno-heavy and I don’t really like the graphics stylistically either. Still a very good game as a free download!
Is the Cytus II download safe?
Cytus II is developed by the development studio Rayark, which lists a data protection declaration on their website. This already indicates the use of data for analysis and advertising purposes. The Exodus site confirms this and lists 6 trackers for the mobile game. Three of them come from Facebook, one from Google and one from the game engine Unity 3D. The tracker “Adjust” is also responsible for ad tracking.
