Mobility study shows that Salzburg residents are increasingly relying on bikes and public transport

However, there is a strong urban-rural divide. However, across the state as a whole, the proportion of car journeys fell from 49 to 44.5 percent in a ten-year comparison, while the proportion of car passengers remained constant at just over 9 percent. The share of cycling, however, increased from 10.7 to 12.9 percent, and that of walking from 17.4 to 18.8 percent. Public transport increased slightly from 11.9 to 12.3 percent.
