Model and presenter Angelina Kirsch mourns the loss of her father and says goodbye to her “dad, hero, role model and light in grey days”.
Touching farewell post: Model and presenter Angelina Kirsch, 35, mourns the loss of her father and writes her sorrows off her chest on Instagram. Three black and white photos showing the two of them hugging each other and beaming are accompanied by the caption: “I cry for you, even though I know that the door to a redeemed life has opened for you. I cry for you. Out of love. Because I miss you. And because only seeing each other again will release my pain.”

The post also says of her father, who died on June 22nd, “My dad, my hero, my role model, my light on grey days. You closed your eyes forever, left in your sleep. Without effort, without pain, content. Didn’t want to crash the party and left secretly, quietly and silently.”
She learned from him that she could achieve anything in life if she believed in herself. “That every day is a gift. That there is an opportunity in everything and the glass is always half full,” writes the Schleswig-Holstein native, who made a career as a curvy model. And she adds that she is “infinitely sad” that he decided to leave “so early.”
“Thanks!”
At the end, she thanks her father, who would have turned 77 on September 27th. “Thank you for the time, thank you for life, thank you for your love, your belief in me, your laughter and your jokes,” says Kirsch. “I love you and my heart is screaming because I miss you so much,” she says in her loving post. “Endless love” and the bond between them will remain.
Her followers are deeply touched. Co-hosts such as Frauke Ludowig, 60, Birgit Schrowange, 66, Ruth Moschner, 48, and Rebecca Mir, 32, sent their condolences. “Let’s Dance” pro Massimo Sinato, 43, with whom Kirsch came third in the tenth season of the dance show, commented: “Dear Angelina, I’m very sorry. I got to know your father. He was a lovely and wonderful person. I wish you and your family a lot of strength. Hug Massimo.”
