Modern Warfare 2: To everyone’s surprise, Infinity Ward unveils a video map

If a few days ago we had the right to a first brief glimpse of one of the playable maps of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with that of Marina Bay Grand Prix, this time, Infinity Ward has decided to lift the veil on a completely different map with that of Farm 18.

Nevertheless, here, it is not simply a question of just seeing the map and seeing it for a few seconds, but indeed of seeing it in detail since the developers have decided to present it in depth and to explain tell players how they went about designing it and what inspired them.

Modern Warfare 2 unveils its Farm 18 map

It is indeed without warning that the developers of Infinity Ward yesterday released a video on the social network of the blue bird in which they present the map of Farm 18 and also explain how they designed it.

Through the words of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Design Director Geoff Smithwe learn that the Farm 18 map is strongly inspired by that of Shoot House, a map which is certainly one of the most popular in the Modern Warfare franchise.

The idea was this: what if we put a Shoot House type situation in the middle? If you really want to play this crazy game, you can go to the center and the action will find you. If you want to opt out and play a different way, you can always do that.

On the map of Farm 18, it seems that we can see a kind of interior structure located right in the center of the latter, and according to Geoff Smith, this is precisely where the main action will take place, the less for the naughtiest among you! For players with a more “safe” gameplay, less fits in, they will have the opportunity to position themselves around, where there is an abandoned bus, some large cinder blocks blocking the road, as well as several abandoned vehicles. The good news is that we will have the right to test the map during the various beta phases that will take place very soon.
