With all eyes on the upcoming arrival of Modern Warfare 2, new leaks have surfaced suggesting that the Armory is in for a slew of small changes.
The arrival of Modern Warfare 2 may not be for now, as the weeks go by, leaks about the next Call of Duty are multiplying, gradually giving a glimpse of what Activision is cooking for the sequel.
After the leak of an emblematic character, a potential announcement date as well as multiple weapons, it is now the armory system that is talking about him.
Recent tweets from a leaker, TheGhostofHope, suggest that the weapon customization system, the spearhead of the franchise, will be reviewed to get closer to the recipe that made the success of the old Call of Duty.
Modern Warfare 2’s Armory Could Get a Makeover
If the information shared by TheGhostHope is correct, then players in Modern Warfare 2 will be treated to a system with 5 accessories instead of the current version which has 10. This would be a drastic change, but many players see this from a good eye.

Indeed, in Vanguard, players can count on 10 accessory slots that they use to customize weapons according to their preferences. While this allows for trying to put together interesting combinations, many feel that it makes game balancing much more difficult than in the past.
Back in March, TheGhostofHope also claimed that the Perks system would be overhauled as well, so it looks like players can expect a whole new experience.
