Modern Warfare 2 will be full of new modes

It was on June 8 that we were able to discover the world premiere of the very first official trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. If the information was a bit lacking, fortunately for us, Infinity Ward had held a private conference with the biggest players of the license in order to reveal more about the game which is now highly anticipated.

As a result, we were able to have some information to put in our mouths, including one of the key points of the game: the more reworked gameplay with regard to what we could call interactions with water: swimming, dive, the sea raging…

Moreover, in addition to this aspect which seems to be quite important in Modern Warfare 2, the developers also announced the arrival of two new modesbut no sign of DMZ…

Modern Warfare 2 will welcome the “Rescue prisoners” and “Knockout” modes

If the Multiplayer has not yet been officially presented, the studio has already announced (via CharlieIntel) the arrival of two new modes which are therefore Prisoner Rescue and Knockout.

If you are a Rainbow Six: Siege player, Rescue of prisoners will be very familiar to you. In this mode, teams are divided into two teams: Defense and Attack, much like in Search and Destroy. The role of the attackers is to go to the rescue of the prisoners and then extract them from the said building, but they can also decide to kill all the defenders (this will ensure their victory). As for the defenders, their role is obviously to hold the hostages or to kill all the attackers, in order to also ensure a victory on their side.

The mode Knockout will look more like the Skirmish mode present in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, but with some modifications all the same. In the latter, players battle for control of a deck and will once again be split into two teams, 6v6, and will only have one life. However, despite this constraint, if a player falls, his teammates will be able to revive him as in Call of Duty: Warzone. Once the whole team is down, the round will be over.

What about DMZ?

Well, unfortunately for the moment the developers have absolutely not communicated on the mode that is so much talked about, namely DMZ.

While several rumors have been getting louder and louder over the weeks, we are still awaiting any sign of life from this Escape from Tarkov-style mode, which, according to leaks, has the looks very promising. As a reminder, this should be a mode in which players will have to do tactical extraction. In addition, the latter would offer a daily day / night cycle with dynamic weather, and at least 4 maps.

Perhaps it will be unveiled when the Multiplayer images are revealed?
