In addition to a new campaign centered on the iconic members of Task 141, players will benefit from a sequel to Warzone as well as a rich new multiplayer experience.

In addition, the Special Ops mode will also make a comeback in Modern Warfare 2. The developers have also claimed that this mode has been “evolved” thanks to a new advanced AI system.

The iconic Special Ops mode is making a comeback in Modern Warfare 2.

Special Ops mode was first introduced in the original Modern Warfare 2, which launched in 2009. Back then, it offered players a new way to enjoy Call of Duty cooperatively, teaming up with friends to shoot down waves of enemies during various missions.

Since Modern Warfare 2 (2022) will not have a Zombies mode, the developers have confirmed that players will be treated to an enhanced version of the classic Special Ops mode.

They also said that Modern Warfare 2’s Special Ops mode is a “tactical co-op mode, which hones your team building skills and sets the stage for the near-endless hours of gameplay available in the world-class multiplayer mode“.

So it looks like the developers are pitching the Special Ops mode as a great way to practice and hone your skills before jumping into multiplayer. This is also confirmed by what the developers have said about their new AI system, which will have the potential to really challenge players.
