(CercleFinance.com) – By mutual agreement with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, Moderna announces that it has canceled the remaining backorders placed under the 2022 COVID-19 vaccine supply agreement.
The agreement between Moderna and Gavi has led to the supply of nearly 70 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 92 low- and middle-income countries. The company has also facilitated the donation of more than 100 million doses to these countries.
To ensure that low- and middle-income countries have access to updated COVID-19 vaccines for new variants, Gavi and Moderna will create a new framework allowing Gavi to purchase up to 100 million doses in 2023.
All doses will be offered at Moderna’s lowest price, the laboratory assures.
