Modular power station:Jackery introduces Explorer 2000 Plus

• With the Explorer 2000 Plus, Jackery is launching its first modular power station.

With the Explorer 2000 Plus (not to be confused with theJackery Explorer 2000 Pro),Jackery is presenting its first modular power station at the InterSolar 23 Europe in Munich. The centerpiece of this is the new Powerstation Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus. It offers an output power of 3,000 watts and a capacity of 2 kWh. If necessary, it can be expanded step by step to 12 kWh with up to five battery packs by 2 kilowatt hours (kWh) each.

Nevertheless, the power station should remain mobile. As a transport aid, it offers two wheels and an aluminum pull-out handle. Without extensions, it measures 47.3 x 35.9 x 37.3 centimeters (cm) and weighs almost 28 kilograms (kg). The battery packs themselves are placed on the power station, each measuring 47 x 33.1 x 23.1 cm and weighing around 20 kg.

What is the Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus suitable for?

In addition to use when camping or on the boat, the Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus can also function as an emergency power generator or off-grid solution – for example in a small garden – especially if you equip the power station with the maximum number of expansion packs. So far, only the competition from Zendure (SuperBase V) or Bluetti offered such devices.

Thanks to a continuous output of 3,000 watts and short-term peak output of up to 6,000 watts, it can also supply power-hungry consumers such as power tools, air conditioning systems or refrigerators with electricity. Eight connections are available for buyers: three Schuko sockets (230 volts), two USB-A (Quick Charge 3.0, 18 W), two USB-C (100 W) and a 12-volt socket.

The power station should score points compared to the competition with short charging times. The power station can be charged in 1.7 hours on a 230-volt connection. It can also pass on energy to the Battery expansion packs. Alternatively, it can be charged in two hours using sixJackery SolarSaga 200W solar panels.

price and availability

For the Explorer 2000 Plus, Jackery calls for a price of 2,299 euros, for a battery pack 1,599 euros. As a solar generator, the power station with the SolarSaga 200W module costs 2,899 euros. For the product launch there is the Explorer Kit 4000 consisting of a power station and a battery pack at a discounted price of 3,799 euros and the solar generator kit 4000 200W including a solar panel for 4,399 euros.
