1980s icon Molly Ringwald became a mother for the first time at the age of 36. In a rare interview, the actress now talks about her role as a mother and reveals details about her daughter Mathilda Gianopoulos.
Molly Ringwald’s “biological clock was deafeningly loud”
In an interview with The Times, the now 56-year-old reveals that before her eldest daughter Mathilda Gianopoulos, 20, was born, she felt a lot of pressure to become a mother. “I always knew I wanted to have children, but it took a while – I was 36 when she was born,” she says, adding: “At that age the biological clock is a real thing, it was kind of deafening became loud.
