Two years after the release of its latest high-end wireless headphones, Sennheiser has just presented their successors, the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3. Like their predecessors, these new wireless headphones focus above all on audio quality.

To do this, Sennheiser is once again relying on dynamic transducers “TrueResponse” 7mm in diameter. They also include compatibility with AAC and SBC audio codecs, but also with Qualcomm’s aptX and aptX Adaptive. Enough to allow, on paper, an audio transmission up to 420 kbps as well as “deep bass, natural mids and clear, detailed highs”according to the German manufacturer.

For those who have followed the market for true wireless earphones in recent years, it will not have escaped that Sennheiser has multiplied the references in the mid-range segment with the CX True Wireless, the Sport True Wireless, the CX 400BT or the CX Plus. True-Wireless. From these more accessible products, Sennheiser seems to have taken over the design on its new Momentum True Wireless 3. We will thus find all-plastic earphones that are lighter than their predecessors, but also a system of silicone fins to help hold the earphones in place . Still in-ear, the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 will also come with four pairs of silicone tips. We will also find an IPX4 waterproofness to protect them against splashes, perspiration or rain.

Active noise reduction, but no multipoint Bluetooth

Active noise reduction is also included, as is transparency mode. For noise reduction, Sennheiser does not communicate on a reduced noise level but merely indicates that the headphones apply a reduction “adaptive” noise. Note, however, that Sennheiser headphones are not compatible with multipoint Bluetooth.

To ensure the autonomy of its headphones, Sennheiser has integrated 77 mAh batteries. The case has an 850 mAh battery. According to Sennheiser, this would allow you to enjoy 7 hours of listening without noise reduction and 6:30 with ANC activated. An autonomy that could go up to 28 hours using the charging box.

The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 headphones are already available for pre-order at 249.90 euros in black, white or graphite. The first deliveries are scheduled for May 10.
