Monabanq launches Rentabilis, a risk-free savings product paying 5% gross

New at Monabanq. The online bank has just launched Rentabilis, a risk-free savings product, whose interest is calculated on a daily basis. The good news is that the latter is remunr 5% gross during the first 3 months. And that it is not necessary to hold a current account with Monabanq to benefit from it…

Until the end of January 2025, the Livret A rate of return is frozen at 3% net annually. Problem: the deposit limit for the booklet is set at 22,950 euros. A limit which proves to be restrictive for some savers, many of whom are therefore looking for an alternative with similar remuneration to invest their savings. Rentabilis, the new product by Monabanq, could well be a solution to study.

Launched on Monday September 4, 2023, Rentabilis is a risk-free, interest-bearing savings product 1.00% gross excluding promotion. And until December 31, 2023, online banking is displaying an attractive offer: an interest rate of 5% gross offered up to 100,000 euros payments (beyond that, the conventional annual gross nominal rate is applied, i.e. 1%).

5% gross for 3 months

The particularity of Rentabilis is to generate interest calculated day by day, and not by fortnight like the traditional Livret A for example. In concrete terms, the remuneration generated is calculated each day, on the basis of 1/365th of the annual interest rate. Interest is then paid once a year, on December 31 of each year. note that these are taxable, according to the rules in force.

unlike regulated savings products, this remunerated account has the advantage of not imposing no limits in terms of payments. To fund his account, the holder has the choice of making free payments by bank transfer or by check. Also, the sums placed are always available. The saver can thus make withdrawals whenever he wishes.

Regarding the fees charged by online banking, it’s very simple, there are none. From opening to closing, including operations, Monabanq does not charge any fees for Rentabilis. This remunerated account can also be managed completely online, like the other products of the Crdit Mutuel Alliance federal subsidiary.
