Monaco: Prince Albert tests positive for Covid for the second time

Prince Albert II has again tested positive for Covid-19, the palace announced on Wednesday (April 13th). His state of health is not worrying.

The Monegasque sovereign is “asymptomatic” and his state of health “does not inspire absolutely any concern”, specified the Palace in a press release.

This is not the first time that Jacques and Gabriella’s father has been infected with the virus. Charlène’s husband had already been diagnosed positive on March 19, 2020, at the start of the epidemic. At the time, he was the first head of state to be infected.

As provided for by the health rules on the Rock, the Prince isolated himself, said his press service. He must therefore respect a seven-day isolation.

Not enough to take him away from his duties. Albert of Monaco, 64, continues his activities. “He works remotely, in permanent contact with the members of his cabinet, his government as well as with his close collaborators”, also noted the Palace.
