Moncler sales exceeded 2 billion euros in 2021

MILAN (Reuters) – Italian luxury clothing maker Moncler’s sales rose 30% in the fourth quarter of 2021, well above pre-pandemic levels and analysts’ expectations, on the back of strong U.S. and Chinese markets.

Consolidated sales for the full year, including the recently acquired Stone Island brand, reached 2.05 billion euros. The consensus was for 1.99 billion euros.

Earnings before interest and taxes (Ebit) for the year reached 603 million euros and net profit 411 million, while financial analysts were expecting an average of 573 million euros and 386 million respectively.

The group will propose the payment of a dividend of 0.60 euros per share and ensures that it is on track to achieve its objective communicated in its 2020-2025 business plan.
