For 6 years, Laurence Boccolini refereed the Money Drop game on TF1. And for the past few days, a rumor has suggested that the show could return to France 2. This Sunday, October 16, the host of Everyone wants to take his place made things clear on his Instagram account about a possible return of the show.
For two years now, Laurence Boccolini delight viewers of France 2. After twenty years of good and loyal service, the host had indeed decided to leave TF1 to join the public service. A difficult but necessary departure as she had confided a few months later in the columns of Parisian. “I was no longer doing anything. There was the arrival of a new direction and from there, well, nothing more happened for me”she indicated.
However, a few years before leaving for new horizons, Laurence Boccolini hosted a program that worked very well on TF1: Money Drop. A game broadcast from 2011 to 2017 and in which the presenter took a lot of pleasure. And for a few days, a rumor evokes a possible return of Money Drop on the air.

The show would not return to TF1 but to France 2, thanks to Nagui’s production company, Banijay. And to animate the game, who better than the emblematic presenter of the program: Laurence Boccolini. But the latter quickly wanted to calm the ardor of the fans by explaining that this project would not be relevant. “I am asked about this news! 1) I know NOTHING. 2) And to be very cash, I wouldn’t even dream of taking Money Drop back! The past is the past ! (Wonderful memories). Can’t be clearer”, she wrote in an Instagram story published this Sunday, October 16. A publication to which Laurence Boccolini added the hashtag #WTF to express her astonishment. It will therefore surely be necessary to be very patient before a possible return of Money Drop.
