Monitor your dog’s health with this connected collar

With Smart Dog Collar, Invoxia is proud to launch a connected collar, which like the Apple Watch for humans, will monitor your dog’s physical activity on a daily basis and can also help you prevent certain serious pathologies.

France is one of the European countries with the highest number of domestic animals. Moreover, he is also one of those who spend the most for their well-being and health. However, it has been observed (source: Epic Trial study) that out of ten dogs seen in veterinary consultation, 10% suffer from heart disease and 20% from respiratory diseases (bronchitis, pulmonary oedema, kennel cough, etc.).

However, if they are often inevitable, these pathologies can be anticipated with regular monitoring. This is where Invoxia comes in with its Smart Dog Collar, a connected object for dogs capable of monitoring their dog’s activity, geolocating them and above all accurately measuring their main medical constants.

Smart Dog Collar: an Apple Watch for dogs?

The Smart Dog Collar does not come in the form of a tocante to slip on your dog’s paw or a cumbersome module to attach to his collar. To succeed in adapting to a maximum of dogs, Invoxia has designed an adjustable collar (neck circumference of 30 to 65 cm) which embeds a whole series of sensors.

A design that offers two advantages, a product that does not bother the dog and the collar being closer to the skin, the measurements taken are as precise as possible. The Smart Dog Collar offers four types of data tracking.

  • Advanced cardiac signature tracking that models a 2D representation of the cardiopulmonary system. This technology can detect the warning signs of illness and stress.
  • Monitoring heart and respiratory rate is important for preventing heart problems or alerting us to a decline in form linked, or not, to a pathology.
  • Activity and sleep monitoring, which in addition to monitoring your pet’s daily activities (walking time, running time, sleep score, number of meals, scratching, barking, etc.), makes it possible to detect a drop in vitality or appetite, which can be linked to heart problems or dermatological pathologies.
  • Finally, the collar offers real-time GPS tracking. He uses the L-TEM network (low consumption mobile network) for precise geolocation of his animal, even indoors. This network currently covers 98% of the population. In addition, the collar also incorporates a buzzer to help you find it if it is hiding near you.

According to the manufacturer, Smart Dog Collar makes it possible to monitor the health of dogs with a precision close to that of examinations carried out at a veterinarian. With here a non-negligible added value, the follow-up is continuous. But unless you are a veterinarian, all this data has little meaning. Invoxia therefore relies on its Smart Dog Collar app available on IOS and Android. It gives you summaries of the various measures, alerts you in the event of suspicious results and above all allows you to share the follow-up with your veterinarian. The objective here being to react to the first symptoms and to facilitate the follow-up of diseases already declared.

Still according to Invoxia, it is then possible to extend the life of his faithful companion by 160%, i.e. an additional 15 months of life. If this holds true over time, many dog owners will be eternally grateful.
