Monsieur Cuisine Connect vs. Smart vs. Plus: This is how the Lidl food processors differ

FOOD PROCESSOR

Lidl has now released several different kitchen appliances with the Monsieur series. We’ll tell you what the differences between the individual models are.

With the Monsieur kitchen appliances from Silvercrest, Lidl wants to compete with the well-known Thermomix. There are now three different models: Monsieur Cuisine Smart, Monsieur Cuisine Trend and Monsieur Cuisine Connect. The Smart represents the latest model and also offers the most functions. The Monsieur Cuisine Plus is not included in the comparison because it is quite old and cannot keep up with the newer models. We have collected and summarized the most important differences between the useful kitchen appliances for you.

While there are differences between each model, many of the specifications are also the same. All three devices have 10 different speed levels, a maximum temperature of 130 degrees Celsius and identical clockwise and counterclockwise rotation.

number of revolutions

A striking difference can be seen in the speed. Here the Monsieur Connect and Monsieur Trend are provided with 120 – 5200 revolutions per minute, while the Monsieur Smart has 125 – 5500 revolutions per minute. As a result, this model also mixes with 1000 watts, while the other versions only use 800 watts. When cooking, the Cuisine Trend and the Cuisine Smart use 1050 watts, while the Cuisine Connect cooks with 1000 watts.

screen

Also, one of the main differences between the models is the display. The Monsieur Cuisine Trend and Connect hardly differ from each other here, but the Monsieur Smart can clearly win in this category. The display is 8 inches instead of 7 inches and is therefore much clearer. There is also the option of using the Google Assistant with the mixer, which can be advantageous in many situations.

The display can be used with the Coonect model for guided cooking. You will be guided step by step through the cooking process. The Monsieur Smart can even run Guided Cooking in the form of a video that explains all the instructions in detail.

design

The design also differs from mixer to mixer. The Monsieur Cuisine Connect is the oldest model and accordingly both the design of the mixer and the user interface are a bit simple and boring than the successors. The Monsieur Trend has received some fine tuning and the clear winner in this category is the Monsieur Cuisine Smart.

Scale

All three models are equipped with a scale, although the Connect is at a serious disadvantage here. Both the Monsieur Smart and the Monsieur Trend have an integrated scale, while the Connect still has to be used separately.

automatic programs

Another decisive advantage of the Monsieur Cuisine Smart are the many automatic programs. The Cuisine Connect and Trend are limited to steaming, kneading and searing, while the Smart has the following programs: kneading, steaming, searing, making smoothies, pureeing, cleaning, egg boiling, fermenting, slow cooking and sous-vide.

Prices and Availability

The Monsieur Connect is only available in its normal form via eBay or similar sites. There you currently pay around 330 euros for the somewhat older mixer. On the Lidl website you can get the Monsieur Cuisine Trend for 399 euros and you can get the Monsieur Cuisine Smart for 499 euros. In the sale, however, the Monsieur Cuisine trend in particular will probably be significantly cheaper.

network world means

In summary, it can definitely be said that buying the Monsieur Cuisine Connect is no longer really worthwhile. The design is quite dated and the functionality is a bit more limited than the two successors. The Monsieur trend can still be worthwhile and will probably be quite affordable, especially in the sale.

In the end, however, the Monsieur Cuisine Smart wins in comparison, since the new functions and the better display offer a significantly better experience for the user and make work a lot easier.
