In Queensland, a young pastor discovered the remains of a very strange-looking animal.
A walk on an Australian beach can hold many surprises, and not always pleasant ones. A certain Alex Tan, pastor of his state, can testify to this. While walking along the beach in Maroochydore, Queensland, he came across a strange and disgusting corpse. “I found something very weird” explains the young pastor in the video he shared on social networks. “That’s the kind of thing that makes people say they’ve discovered an alien body,” he laughs. But Alex Tan does not eat this bread: for him, it is indeed an animal identified by science. But which one?

A long stay in the water and the decomposition gave the carrion an unrecognizable aspect which does not make it possible to identify the species to which it belongs. On the other hand, we clearly distinguish a long jaw bristling with sharp teeth, a tail similar to that of a rat, a few patches of black fur and legs that are reminiscent of human hands… Or rather those of an opossum, according to the opinion of Stephen Johnston, professor at the University of Queensland. The general appearance of the body seems to correspond to that of this marsupial, very common in Australia. However, it is difficult to estimate its size in the absence of a point of comparison, knowing that an opossum rarely exceeds 50 centimeters in length. Would this posthumous career as a monster and ephemeral star of social networks have consoled the poor animal for his sad end? Here is a riddle that is not ready to be solved…
