The Lunar New Year celebration is fast approaching. And for the occasion, Niantic has decided to offer special events as well as decorations in its title
Monster Hunter Now. On the program, Rathian sakura hunting or even sky lantern harvesting. Enough to get your hands on new exclusive equipment.
The Lunar New Year event Monster Hunter Now will be held from Thursday February 1, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. to Thursday February 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
Lunar New Year Event Details
Quests Event starting Thursday, February 1 at 9:00 a.m.
The Lunar New Year (Lucky Collection) quests will allow players to collect event-exclusive items like white, red, and gold Sky Lanterns. And of course, some colors are rarer than others.

Lunar New Year (Chassathon)
To complete these quests, you will need to complete Huntathons and hunt specific monsters. There are five levels of quests, and a final urgent quest involving the Rathian sakura.

- Materials (including mason insects)
- Monster materials (including Rathian sakura plates)
Lunar New Year (Challenge)
These quests will begin on Wednesday, February 7 at 9:00 a.m. They are difficult and will be aimed at hunters who like to take on challenges. They will ask you to eliminate monsters 6* or higher.
Quest rewards:

- Monster Materials (including Wyvern Gem Shards)
Hunt the Rathian sakura
The Rathian sakura will appear on the hunting ground and in Huntsathons throughout the event period.
For each Rathian Sakura eliminated, players will receive a bonus NAL 2024 Hammer Ticket or a bonus NAL 2024 Double Blades Ticket as a reward. These bonus tickets will also be collected for each monster eliminated on a Chassathon site, whatever it may be.

This event sees the arrival of new equipment and new weapons with the Lucky Dragon’s Hammer, the Brilliant Dragon Fans and the Dancing Dragon Mask. The Mask of the Dancing Dragon can be crafted and upgraded using tickets obtained from completing Event Quests, while the Hammer of the Lucky Dragon and Fans of the Brilliant Dragon require tickets granted by hunting the Rathian Sakura and participation at Huntsathons. In addition to tickets, it will be necessary to have Rathian sakura materials to forge and improve these items.

Dancing Dragon Mask (Head)

Finally, new exclusive packs will be available on the store from Wednesday January 31, 2024 at midnight until Friday February 16, 2024 at noon UTC.
