Monster Hunter Rise exceeds 10 million copies shipped, and already 2 million for Sunbreak

The success of the series monster hunter no longer needs to be proven. Each opus is a success both critically and commercially, and Capcom can rejoice to see that the saga continues to post sales that have reason to be jealous. Even though it was only released on Switch and PC, monster hunter rise could boast of achieving very good sales, but everything accelerated with the release of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreakits major extension, which made it possible to bail out the coffers a little more.

A hot start for the expansion

Last May, monster hunter rise could already boast of having shipped 9 million copies worldwide, but today it exceeds a symbolic level, that of 10 million copies. This, it owes in particular to its extension Sunbreakwho in just one week of marketing, has shipped 2 million copies (all versions combined).

Sales figures that are enough to make Capcom smile, even if there is little chance that this opus will catch up with the phenomenon Monster Hunter Worldwhich is now above the bar 21 million units shipped (also counting Iceborne), the record for a Capcom game. If we add up the sales of all the games in the saga, these are now 84 million games that have been shipped for the series monster hunter.
