Monster Hunter Rise is indeed confirmed on the PlayStation and Xbox consoles, with an arrival in the Game Pass

With great success on Switch and PC, monster hunter rise should continue its growth in 2023 with the arrival of new ports on more platforms. The announcement effect of Capcom fell a little in the water, since a leak had revealed to us the existence of these versions a little earlier in the week, while the German Twitter account of Xbox had revealed the surprise a few hours before the official communication of the ‘editor.

A more surprising announcement

This time, it’s well and truly confirmed: monster hunter rise will soon land on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. These ports will be released on January 20, 2023as expected, and the title will be immediately available in Xbox Game Pass (both on consoles and PC). However, it will take wait until spring 2023 for the extension Sunbreak arrives on these platforms.

These versions will effectively aim for 4K resolution for platforms that can, with a framerate of 60 frames per second on PS5 and Xbox Series. The PS5 version will also have haptic feedback for weapon use thanks to the DualSense features.

Unfortunately, there is no mention of cross-play or cross-progression, so we do not know for the moment if you will be able to resume your hunting game started on PC or Switch on these new versions.

In the meantime, do not hesitate to consult our test of the Switch version of the game to find out a little more about it.
