The Digital Event of this May 10 for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak just ended. Capcom has unveiled a lot of new elements concerning the massive expansion of the hunting game. We take stock below.
The Malzeno will vampirize your attention

This Ancient Dragon is inspired by the figure of the vampire that we find in its design with a certain presence and a touch of nobility.
He commands a swarm of parasites that capture and absorb energy from other monsters. With his attacks, he can also inflict the “Bleeding” state on the hunter, which automatically triggers a duel to see who will exhaust his life force first. In case of defeat, the Malzeno will be able to sport a more powerful form.
New monsters revealed
Capcom revealed three new monsters during this event that will arrive in the expansion, starting with a much-loved return with the Sergios (introduced in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and whom some fans like to call “Steve”). It is a Wyvern covered with blades and which particularly favors aerial attacks. For the other two, it will be necessary to be content with two new subspecies with the Somnacanth Aurore and the Almudon Magma.
Substitute Talents and Paragon Quests
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak promises more flexibility on hunts with the introduction new substitute talents for all weapons knowing that it will be possible to create a second configuration of these talents in order to change them in the middle of a confrontation. In order to make this transfer viable in combat, you can perform a dodge transfer in any direction.
Finally, theParagon quests are solo adventures that will allow you to team up with the different NPCs in the game whether new or old like the Hinoa and Minoto twins.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be released on PC and Nintendo Switch on June 30. Players with a Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin save will receive the Navirou special armor for the Palico. A new Nintendo Switch pro controller with the effigy of the Malzeno was also unveiled.
