A true outsider, Helldivers 2 arrived on our machines without warning and, against all expectations, positions itself as one of the best Sony games ever released. He has set numerous records and it’s far from over!
Helldivers 2: The 7th best Sony game
Whether on Twitch, Youtube or even X, Helldivers II has been talked about a lot. Whether it is influencers or the gaming community, many have shared their experiences on the latest title from the Arrowhead studio.
Between the compilations of very exhilarating action scenes, the very funny squad situations, a very satisfying universe and gameplay… All the elements were present to arouse the desire to join the adventure. Gold, this success would not only be due to social networks, nor to influencers. Indeed, according to Mat Piscatellaan analyst at Circana, this success would in reality be linked to a very specific strategy proposed by Sony.
It would seem that the element that played the most important role in this new broken record for Helldivers 2 would actually lie in its launch. Thanks to a simultaneous release on PS5 and PC, the game could then have increased the number of revenues to reach Sony’s top 10. It seems that this record is only due to this parameter, because without its PC release, Helldivers 2 would certainly not have reached the top 20 best-selling Sony games.
Although this scenario may be possible, nothing can tarnish the experience that Helldivers 2 offers. Between strategy and mutiny between friends, Helldivers 2 has always had all the keys in hand to be a real success.
A success that is not about to stop?
The Helldivers 2 adventure is not going to end so quickly, because according to the latest rumors which continue to spread like wildfire, future additions will arrive.
Among them, we notably have the arrival of a new mission, as well as a major narrative event announcing the return of new enemies.
The first leak involves the appearance of a new vehicle ; presumably named Colony Rover, this armored vehicle should transport non-playable characters that you and your squad will have to protect. So, an escort mission seems to come on the radar.
Then we have two very disturbing elements : a strange device with a sort of black sphere inside and the explosion of the Super-Colony Meridia. According to IronS1ghts and other leakers, it could be that the aliens have taken over this system and that the only way to overcome this scourge is to destroy Meridia. Except that this disaster could lead to a brighter event for players: the arrival of the Illuminates in Helldivers 2.
Although there is a ton of information on the web, the developers haven’t confirmed anything yet. It could be that these elements given by the leakers are only fabrications, so take this information with a pinch of salt, although it is encouraging!
