Moody’s places Eutelsat’s rating under review ahead of possible downgrade

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Moody’s Investors Service on Friday placed the long-term issuer credit rating of Eutelsat SA, the main operating subsidiary of satellite operator Eutelsat Communications SA, under review for a possible degradation. “The potential acquisition of OneWeb could lead to a material deterioration in Eutelsat’s credit metrics which would not be consistent with the current ‘Baa3’ rating,” the rating agency said in a statement. “Eutelsat was already weakly positioned in the rating category due to its high leverage and continued revenue pressure,” Moody’s Investors Service added.
