“Moon Knight” fans can breathe a sigh of relief: The Marvel series with Oscar Isaac will receive a second season on Disney +. Netzwelt shows you the announcement video from Cairo.
- Moon Knight will return to Disney+ for a second season.
- Oscar Isaac and director Mohamed Diab confirmed the series’ return on TikTok.
- The continuation of the Marvel series will hardly start on Disney + before 2024.
When it comes to Disney+’s Marvel series, there’s often confusion as to whether it’s a self-contained miniseries or a multi-season series. “Loki” alone confirmed a second season in the finale of season 1, the future of all other productions remained uncertain.
“Moon Knight” was also considered a miniseries for a long time, but that’s finally over now. Director Mohamed Diab and leading actor Oscar Isaac confirmed a second season via TikTok and reported directly from Cairo.
Disney itself hasn’t officially announced “Moon Knight” Season 2 yet, so you’ll probably have to wait until Disney Convention D23 in September. Diab and Isaac’s visit to Cairo seems to be more about preparations, and it will probably be some time before filming begins.
Due to Disney+’s generally quite busy Marvel schedule, a return of “Moon Knight” is not expected until 2024 at the earliest. But at least we see Marc Spector, Steven Grant and Jake Lockley again, that alone is cause for celebration.
